State Registration is the standard set by the Government, through the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine. To reach this standard, a chiropodist must complete a three-year full time course, leading to a Bsc degree in Podiatry. Only State Registered Chiropodists may be employed by the National Health Service.

What is Podiatry?

Many State Registered Chiropodists are now using the title Podiatrist, which is the internationally recognised name for foot specialists. Only people trained in this field will hold the letters SRCh after their name.
